| I am a student of
philosophy at Rice University in Texas, a founding member of the
Bangladesh Liberal Forum, and an Associate Fellow at the Oxford Centre
for Animal Ethics. Before arriving in Texas in 2010, I spent four years at Heidelberg University where I earned a Diplom (the German equivalent of a Master's degree) in Theoretical Physics. I have lectured and published across four continents on topics such as human rights, animal ethics, logic and string theory. I am an academic, but also an activist. I believe that philosophy can, and must, involve itself in the pressing social and political issues of our time. I have been engaged in the animal rights movement, the fight against extreme poverty and the struggle for gay rights. In my spare time, I like to ride my motorcycle, take photos, and travel. It's Khukie with whom I enjoy doing things most. |
